1980-81 to 2000-01
White "Mavericks"
The home uniform from day one: the team name in blue with a green outline, arched over the number. It lasted 21 seasons, with only small tweaks to the lettering in the 1990s.
27 uniforms
Every uniform the Mavs have worn, home, road, alternate, throwback and City Edition, illustrated by Mavs Brasil. Colors are approximate, and official logos are left out.
1980–2001
The first 21 years: arched Western lettering, V-necks and the short shorts of the day.
1980-81 to 2000-01
The home uniform from day one: the team name in blue with a green outline, arched over the number. It lasted 21 seasons, with only small tweaks to the lettering in the 1990s.
1980-81
The first road uniform lasted a single season: blue, with green and white trim. A year later the colors flipped and green became the main color.

1981-82 to 1991-92
Green became the face of the Mavs in the 1980s: the first playoff trips, the Aguirre, Blackman and Harper years, and the 1988 Western Conference finals.

1992-93 to 2000-01
In 1992, blue returned as the road color, in the inaugural design with a retouched "Dallas." It was worn by the "Three J's" (Jason Kidd, Jamal Mashburn and Jim Jackson) and by the newly arrived Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash in 1998.
2001–2017
Under Mark Cuban the franchise changed its logo and colors, and the alternates and throwbacks arrived.
2001-02 to present
With Mark Cuban in charge and the move to American Airlines Center, the green and blue of the 1980s gave way to navy, royal blue and silver. Ever since, the white uniform has read "Dallas" in navy; it has been retouched a few times and, under Nike, became the Association edition in 2017-18. It was the white uniform of the 2011 title team.
2001-02 to 2009-10
The road uniform of the Nash and Dirk years and of the franchise's first Finals trip, in 2006: "Dallas" in white with silver numbers.

2003-04 (one game)
Shiny and baggy, it was worn exactly once, against the Lakers in October 2003, and shelved right away. Fans nicknamed it the "trash bags."
2004-05 to 2008-09
Designed by music mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, it brought green back as an alternate, with "Mavs" in script across the chest and a small number above it.

2004-05 and 2005-06; 2015-16 and 2016-17
For the franchise's 25th anniversary, the 1981 green came back as a throwback, with the old lettering and 1990s-style numbers. It returned again in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
2009-10
It replaced the Sean Combs green: the same "Mavs" script, now on royal blue, the color that would take over the road uniform a year later.
2009-10 (Noche Latina)
For the NBA's Noche Latina nights, the royal blue alternate read "Los Mavs," a nod to the team's Latino fans.

2010-11 to present
In 2010, royal blue replaced navy as the road color, with "Dallas" in navy outlined in silver. It was the uniform of the title-clinching game in Miami in 2011, and under Nike it became the Icon edition in 2017-18.
2011-12 to 2014-15
Unveiled in December 2011, months after the title, it repeated the 2009-10 alternate on navy, now with the number below "Mavs."
2015-16 to 2018-19
It came out of a fan design contest in 2013-14: the Dallas skyline in silver across the chest. Unveiled in 2014, it debuted in 2015-16 and served as the Statement edition through 2018-19.
2017–present
Association, Icon and Statement as the base, and a new City Edition almost every year.
2017-18
The first City Edition, unveiled in December 2017 and worn from January 2018: black, with "DAL" and numbers in royal blue outlined in neon green, a nod to the original green.
2018-19
In Luka Dončić's rookie season the black stayed, but "DAL" gave way to the team's secondary logo (simplified here as a basketball) and the neon green was gone, leaving plain royal blue numbers.

2019-20 to 2021-22

2020-21 and 2026-27
The winged horse atop the Magnolia Building has been a Dallas symbol since 1934; golden wings run up the sides, and the gold marked ten years since the 2011 title. It returns in 2026-27, for the City Edition's 10th anniversary, starting in January 2027.

2020-21 and 2025-26
In Nike's Classic line, the 1981-91 green returned true to the original, down to the number style, with the old logo on the shorts. It came back in 2025-26, Cooper Flagg's first season.

2020-21
The NBA's reward for the 16 teams from the 2020 playoffs: navy, with royal blue on the armholes and sides, and simply "Mavs" across the chest.
2021-22
For the NBA's 75th season, every team mixed moments from its history. The Mavs went with a white base and green side panels, a script "Dallas" with a cowboy hat on the "D," "MFFL" (Mavs Fans For Life) on the hip and the horse on the shorts.

2022-23 to present
A minimalist design: "Mavs" in white, the number on the chest and wide black side stripes. It debuted in the 2022-23 home opener against the Grizzlies.

2022-23
A trip back to the late 1970s and early 1980s, when the franchise was born: bright blue, with "dallas" in disco-era letters and green and white side stripes.

2023-24
Made with Fort Worth singer Leon Bridges, it honors blues and R&B and takes its name from the river that runs through Dallas: black, with a Western-style "Dallas" in silver with blue trim.

2024-25
The same Leon Bridges design, now on a white base with silver lettering.

2025-26
The 2020-21 Pegasus came back, remade in black after the players voted for a dark version: neon blue wings and a silver "Dallas" in Greek-style letters.
